Your AirTag’s location is transmitted anonymously and encrypted, so your privacy is protected every step of the way. You can share your AirTag’s location with up to five other people, making it easy to locate shared items like umbrellas, bicycles, or car keys. You can also temporarily share your lost item’s location with multiple airlines—sharing will end automatically when the item is found or after seven days at the latest.

Privacy is standard with AirTag: only you can see where your AirTag is. Location data is not stored on the AirTag, and not even Apple knows its location. AirTag is also designed to prevent unwanted tracking – if a stranger's AirTag is with you, you'll be notified on your iPhone or Android phone.

AirTag connects to your iPhone or iPad with a single tap and is ready to use right away. A user-replaceable CR2032 battery that lasts over a year ensures worry-free use, and the IP67 rating means AirTag is water and dust resistant for everyday use. AirTag is made with the environment in mind: its body is made of 85% recycled plastic, and the packaging is 100% fiber-based.
