Sleep Plug Stages™ sleep tracking
Good sleep is key to recovery and well-being, and many of the body's recovery functions, such as muscle growth and tissue regeneration, occur largely during sleep. Polar Sleep Plus Stages™ tracks your nightly sleep patterns, from the amount of sleep you get to the duration of different sleep stages. The algorithm has been tested with Sleep Polygraph, the standard method of sleep tracking, and recognises when you fall asleep and wake up. You can see your results directly from your watch through the sleep score calculated by Sleep Plus Stages and in the Polar Flow app. The result also allows you to get to grips with issues that may be having a negative impact on your sleep and improve your sleep in the long term.

Nightly Recharge™ recovery monitoring
While Polar Sleep Plus Stages™ monitors the quality of your sleep, Nightly Recharge™ tells you how well you're recovering from the stress of training and other challenges you face during the day. Nightly Recharge is based on two pieces of information: how well you slept (sleep state) and how well your autonomic nervous system calmed down during the first hours of sleep (ANS state), which are common measures of recovery. The result tells you if you're ready for a new workout and when to take it easy, and by connecting your Ignite watch to the Polar Flow app, you'll get training and sleep tips based on your result, as well as ideas for regulating your energy levels.

Ignite FitSpark™ training program
The FitSpark™ Training Guide makes it easier than ever to train, with real-time suggested workouts optimised to match your personalised recovery data and training history collected by Nightly Recharge. This allows you to choose the right option for you, and FitSpark's suggested programmes are always available directly on your watch, guiding you through every stage of your workout. There are several different options, ranging from cardio to strength training.

Ignite Serene™ breathing exercises
Conscious breathing has proven health benefits and makes it easy to manage stress, build stamina and improve concentration. Ignite Serene™ helps you breathe with a slow, regular rhythm.
Throughout your workout, Serene measures your body's response and gives you real-time feedback through animation and vibration feedback on the watch screen. At the end of your workout, you'll get a summary of your time directly on your Ignite watch.

What is the difference between Polar Ignite and Polar Vantage M?
The Ignite lacks the following features found in the Vantage M:
- Training Load Pro-training load and strain monitoring
- Training Power Ranges
- Exercise impact (Flow net only)
- Multi-discipline training (e.g. Triathlon)
- Manual cycles
- Automatic exercise stop/start
- No connectivity to external cycling or running sensors (except heart rate belt)
- Shorter battery life during training
Does the pack include a heart rate belt? Do I need one?
The kit does not include a heart rate belt. If you want the most accurate heart rate monitoring possible during your workout, we recommend the Polar H10 heart rate belt. However, based on customer feedback and our own testing, the Polar Ignite wrist heart rate monitor is highly accurate as it uses Polar's latest Precision Prime micro-sensor technology.
